Meet Our Eye Doctor
Dr. Mitch Merrill was born and raised in Rexburg Idaho and graduated from Madison High School. He served a 2 year church mission in New York City where he developed an appreciation for many different cultures. Dr. Merrill attended college at Brigham Young University-Idaho where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. Dr. Merrill then completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry in Houston Texas.
Dr. Merrill completed clinical rotations in Houston and Dallas where he was trained to manage eye conditions such as Glaucoma, Dry Eye Syndrome, Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Degeneration, Keratoconus, Lasik and Cataract surgery co-management.
In his free time, Dr. Merrill enjoys spending time outdoors skiing, golfing, boating, and especially spending time with his wife Becca and their 3 kids.
Dr. Merrill and his family are very excited to return to their hometown, where he is prepared to serve the community and provide high quality eyecare.
